A plural perspective on the present, with roots in research.

For over fifty years, the “S. Pio V” Institute of Political Studies has been a reference point in the Italian landscape for the study and analysis of political, human, and social sciences. What distinguishes the Institute from other research centres is its multidisciplinary structure: an integrated approach that allows for tackling the major issues of our time from complementary perspectives, offering richer, more articulated, and innovative readings.

The Institute’s research areas reflect the breadth and complexity of contemporary challenges, from European policies to the protection of human rights, from digital sustainability to geopolitics and international relations. This thematic variety translates into a unique ability to develop cross-cutting analyses and proposals that resonate with institutions, academia, the cultural world, and public opinion.

Another pillar of the Institute’s activities is the investment in young researchers, who are actively involved in scientific projects and supported through dedicated scholarships. Their training, strongly oriented towards internationalisation and multidisciplinarity, represents a qualifying element of the Institute’s work.

To complete this vision, there is an intense network of collaborations with Italian and foreign universities and institutions, which constantly enriches cultural exchange and openness.

Finally, through its publishing house APES and the publication of the Journal of Political Studies, the Institute enhances and disseminates its scientific work, contributing rigorously and critically to the political and cultural debate.

The “S. Pio V” Institute of Political Studies is, therefore, a place of thought and dialogue where the plurality of knowledge becomes a tool for understanding, interpreting, and guiding change.
